Reservoir engineering position in the division engineering group responsible for maximizing value of the division’s assets through reserve and production growth. Main responsibilities include technical evaluation of prospects and producing properties for project decision-making based on sound technical review.
 
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
 
-          Conduct reservoir engineering evaluations on selected properties to evaluate their potential, predict reservoir performance, evaluate completion strategies, and optimize future depletion and development plans. Such evaluations may include pressure and rate transient analysis, fracture optimization, decline curve analysis, nodal analysis, material balance calculations, well and reservoir modeling and economic analysis.
-          Evaluate and initiate exploitation opportunities, including new drill wells and workovers.
-          Work in highly charged, fast-paced team environment and be able to handle multiple projects.
-          Make presentations to senior management as required.

 
Job Requirements

 

-          BS in Engineering (preferably Petroleum)
-          Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry
-          Minimum 5 years’ experience as a reservoir engineer
-          Operations knowledge desired
-          Good understanding of geology
-          Petrophysical analysis skills and reservoir simulation knowledge helpful
-          Experience with Texas Railroad Commission, New Mexico Oil Conservation Division or BLM helpful
-          Must have a working knowledge of commercial oil and gas economics software (experience with Aries for Windows is preferred)
-          Must have good presentation, communication and technical writing skills
-          Must be self-motivated, be able to prioritize projects, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work individually, as well as within an integrated team environment
