Automation Engineer Specialist

The Automation Electrical Engineer provides automation and electrical engineering and technical support to 3 major basins. This position will engineer, design, assist with implementation, troubleshoot, and help maintain the company’s oil and gas wellhead facilities and midstream assets. The individual will help in designing and troubleshooting electrical systems such as: low power DC power 12/24V, 120 volts, and 480 volts. Individual will interface and coordinate with electrical utilities, project teams, facilities and production teams. Project work may include all or parts of the following: assessment, analysis, developing a detailed scope of work, preparation of cost estimates, expenditures forecasting, acquisitions, equipment specification review and development, bid evaluations, installations drawings, budgeting and installations plans. Position provides automation support to asset personnel to promote field operational efficiencies as well as design and troubleshoot automation systems. This position will play a key role in the development and compilation of automation standards, drawings, technical configuration information and standardized policies/procedures. This position will lead Automation and Engineering projects and will be available to assist the Facilities engineering staff with process improvement studies and projects, quality assurance programs, training of field personal, RF engineering and safety compliance.
A Bachelors of Engineering degree is required. An Electrical Engineering degree is strongly preferred but not required depending on level of experience and work history. A minimum of 5 years of related oil and gas industry experience. Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal and computer skills. Will be required to travel to field locations as needed.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
