Prepare weekly EIA governmental reports. Coordinate various monthly accounts receivable reports, solicit explanations for balances, and publish the completed reports to management. Work on various general ledger account reconciliations monthly and prepare corrective journal entries as needed. Record both revenue and cash on outside operated properties, and record cash on some company operated properties. Perform research to identify any potential exposure related to bankruptcy filings by counterparties as requested by the Legal Department. Work on special projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. A business degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting will be considered. 2+ years of oil and gas accounting experience required, with a preference for revenue accounting. Position requires sound analytical skills and the ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Excel. Must be a quick learner, self-starter, and independent worker.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
