Position is responsible for preparing, submitting and tracking various permit applications, forms, documents, correspondence and notices of work completion (e.g. applications for permit to drill, sundry notices, completion/recompletion reports, etc.) required by jurisdictional agencies to obtain necessary government approvals for exploration and production activities. Work with Division personnel to effectively communicate with internal and external customers pertaining to the status of projects and prioritization of upcoming activities. Develop a proactive and cooperative working relationship with federal, state, and local agencies to facilitate the timely processing of all permits and approvals.
2+ years of regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry preferred, ideally within the Rocky Mountain region, along with a thorough knowledge of current local, state, and federal permitting procedures and regulations. Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills are required. Position requires a team player who is also a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and works well under pressure. A high school diploma or GED is required; however a college degree is preferred.
Position will be filled commensurate with relevant education and experience.
