Responsibilities will include loading 2D and 3D seismic data, well data, and other geologic data to the Landmark workstations. Provide administrative and technical support to the Geo-Steering Manager and Geo-Steering staff. Maintains all geological data for each well and provides Geo-steering data analysis, and prepares spreadsheets, graphs, ETC. for various departments. Coordinates transformations, generates cross sections, and manages log file data. Assists exploration staff with data assembly, analysis, organization, and presentations.
The Geological Technician must be proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Experienced in Petra or LMT/Arc map and Spot Fire is preferred, but not required. Must have the ability to learn required software and utilize software to complete required workload. Ability to complete projects in a timely and accurate manner once provided general guidelines. Must be able to handle deadlines and work well with engineers. High school diploma is required. Bachelor's degree in Science or related field plus 1 year experience as geoscience technician or related experience.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
