This position requires a high school or GED equivalent degree; college degree preferred. Additional emphasis on mathematical skills and strong attention to detail is required.
Proficiencies with various software is required:
* MS Office Programs - medium to advance
* AutoCAD - beginner to medium
* Compass Well Planning - medium to advance
* Torque & Drag - minimal to medium
Must be familiar with all aspects of directional drilling, including the planning process, execution aspects as well as understanding of various tools and survey methods. Skills required include but not limited to the following: math, understanding of declination and grid corrections, familiarity with various grid systems, knowledgeable about ellipses of uncertainty, anti-collision and how it can affect the well planning process. Oil and gas understanding from both an operator and service company perspective as it relates to well drilling.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
