Record oil and gas revenue associated with Texas properties. Process natural gas plant allocations. Coordinate with regulatory team to remit and report severance taxes for oil and gas sales, Federal and State royalties. Prepare monthly revenue accruals, process invoices, and monitor pipeline imbalances. Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Support audits. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration. Respond to royalty owner inquiries and work on special projects.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution, including core accounting coursework.
2+ years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent industry experience.
CPA certification is a plus.
Strong understanding and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proven analytical skills with the ability to present data clearly and accurately.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and collaborate effectively across teams.
Proficient with MS Excel. Knowledge of SQL and MS Query a plus.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
