Serve as Geomechanics domain technical advisor for all EOG disciplines and assets
Present clear, concise technical summaries to asset team members and management
Identify/develop/integrate Geomechanical technological advancements and innovations
Foster and facilitate intradisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing between disciplines (Geoscience, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.)
Be available to travel to EOG divisions as needed to serve above functions
Training and knowledge exchange
Develop/lead internal Geomechanics training course
Attend/present at EOG internal technical conferences
Help mentor young Geoscientists/Engineers in Geomechanics and EOG best practices
Support additional in-house training efforts
External/EOG relations
Build and maintain Geomechanics industry/academia networks and relationships
EOG representation
Purveyor and practitioner of EOG culture
Job Requirements
Must have a BS in Geology, preferably Geophyscis.
Must have 7+ yrs of Geomechnanics based experience in oil & gas industry, less experience will be considered with advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
Must have good presentation, communication and technical writing skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multi-functional teams. Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize projects.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
