EOG is seeking an experienced and motivated Land Administration professional to fill the position of Senior Staff Lease Analyst within our Lease Management Team (LMT). The primary purpose of our department is to support the leasing, operations, and production objectives of EOG's domestic division offices; the primary purpose of the Lease Management Team (LMT) is to review Oil & Gas Leases and Right of Ways and capture that data in Tobin Land Suite (TLS).
The Senior Staff Lease Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis for all geographic areas of operation. Skillset includes knowledge of lease provisions, legal descriptions, mineral interests, lease obligations and payments. Duties include verification of lease rental payments, obligations, and critical dates to ensure all obligations and payments are met in a timely manner. The primary focus of the role is maintenance of data integrity across all records.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review and setup Oil & Gas Leases and Right of Ways in Tobin Land Suite (TLS), capturing provisions, payments, and obligations
Utilize Mineral Ownership Reports and Lease Purchase Summaries accordingly for data capture
Communicate with Division Land personnel as needed to obtain additional data and documents necessary for accurate set-ups
Analyze and apply terms of contracts, including but not limited to Purchase and Sale Agreements, Assignments, creation of Executive Rights and Non-Participating Mineral Interests
Setup new owner account profiles in Name & Address Workflow
Verify EOG's interest in leasehold acreage and depths
Utilize online databases to pull official records, including federal, state, and county
Perform monthly lease rental check review to verify payment detail
Monitor lease inventory to ensure timeliness of setup
Verify active TLS lease records to ensure data integrity and retention of company leasehold assets
Support all EOG operated geographic areas, maintaining knowledge of each area's particular lease record setup needs
Assist with internal/external audits, data conversions, and other special projects
Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other EOG departments to ensure company success
Perform all stated duties in compliance with EOG's SOX control functions and operational processes, placing focus on promotion of data integrity
Job Requirements
10+ years of experience in a Land Administration role
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable and confident in learning new computer applications
Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Self-motivated and eager to be an active participant in personal growth via participation in training/mentoring opportunities, membership in professional organizations, and attendance of industry seminars/conferences
Proven professionalism in the handling of confidential and proprietary company information
Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills while remaining conscious of deadlines
Bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma or GED required
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
