Regulatory Accountant will file ONRR reports, assist with compliance reviews, audits, and data mining requests; effectively communicate with revenue accountants and land administration as necessary to ensure proper reporting; and, understanding and ensuring compliance with all ONRR regulations, including marketable condition rules. The candidate will also reconcile payable accounts, process, verify for accuracy, and code regulatory invoices and payments, including testing of system enhancements. Assist with regulatory special projects as necessary, including all regulatory discrepancy notices, and compliance with the ONRR new 2016 rules.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting desired. A business degree with 18 hours of accounting will be considered. CPA a plus, 5+ years of regulatory reporting experience required or oil and gas revenue accounting experience. Familiarity with Plant Processing and experience with ONRR a plus. Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient in MS Excel. Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely. Position requires sound analytical ability. Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others. Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
