The Human Resources Training Specialist is primarily responsible for developing and facilitating training programs for office and field staff at all levels of the organization. Reporting to the Human Resources department, this position will play an integral role in facilitating existing training programs, developing new programs, and coordinating training with third-party vendors.
Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing training to develop and enhance professional and leadership development, job skills training, and other HR-related training
May assist or partner with Human Resources in training employees on current and new policies and procedures
Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning content and program needs, including working with Human Resources Department or management to identify skills gaps and determine training needs
Facilitate training using various methods of delivery, including in-person, virtual, or e-Learning based training
Apply adult learning theory to create content that meets clearly defined objectives
Update, manage, and maintain existing training content
Provide guidance and advise on appropriate learning and competency strategies, processes, and tools
Develop and manage vendor relationships and external learning and development resources and apply proper project management to coordinate resources
Course evaluation and trend analysis and reporting
Utilize LMS to manage courses, including setting up sessions, establishing email content, managing rosters, running reports
Job Requirements
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in Training and Development related function, preferably in corporate environment as member of Human Resources, Training or Organizational Development team
3+ years of facilitation experience with demonstrated ability to facilitate and present to all levels of employees and leaders
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent additional years of experience
Oil and Gas industry experience is a plus
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including high degree of comfort and ability using PowerPoint and other presentation/graphics software, such as Publisher and familiarity with Learning Management Systems
Must have knowledge of principles and methods of training and ability to manage the full training cycle
Must be able to plan, organize, direct, deliver and facilitate training programs using a variety of instructional techniques or formats
Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
Good communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
Good organizational and strategic skills
Critical thinking skills to identify, research, conduct analysis, and recommend solutions to complex needs
Attentiveness to details in producing, writing, and proofing all materials to ensure consistency in form, format, and function
Domestic travel up to 40%
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
