Risk Management
Full Time, Regular
Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with the Risk Management Director to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with EOG's operations, assets, and liabilities and contribute to the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
-Assist in analyzing insurance policies, coverage limits, and exclusions to determine the level of protection and adequacy of coverage.
-Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, renewals and premiums.
-Identify and gather information for insurance renewals, participate in negotiating insurance contracts, terms, and conditions with insurance providers and placement of policies with the goal to optimize coverage and costs.
-Monitor changes in EOG's risk profile and recommend adjustments to insurance coverage as needed.
-Support the Risk Management claims manager in handling of insurance claims.
-Collaborate with legal, contract administrators and various departments to negotiate favorable insurance and indemnity terms and conditions in EOG commercial contracts and ensure service providers are in compliance with insurance contractual requirements.
-Contribute to the preparation of regular reports and presentations for senior management, outlining risk exposure and potential areas for improvement.
-Stay updated on industry regulations, legal requirements, and emerging trends in insurance risk management.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and safety, to gather information and insights for risk assessments.
-Foster effective communication and collaboration to promote a strong risk-aware culture within EOG.
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (such as ARM, CPCU) are a plus.
10+ years experience with 5+ years experience in Risk Management preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey risk-related information to various stakeholders.
Proficiency in using risk management software, spreadsheet tools, and databases.
Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Understanding of insurance terminology, coverage types, and industry best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Ethical and responsible approach to handling confidential and sensitive information.
